#TriEveryDay with World Triathlete Desmond McHenry (IRL)

Age group triathlete Desmond McHenry has been warmly inducted into Triathlon Ireland’s Hall of Fame, in 2018, for his contribution and dedication to the sport.

McHenry was a marathon runner and in 1983 decided to give triathlon a go, learnt how to swim, borrowed bikes to train and compete on, for the first couple of years. 37-years later, the inspiring Irish triathlete continues his passion for the sport, lining up on triathlon start lines, all over the world, to represent Ireland in the 70-74 category.
